Dr Michael Tate
Dr Tate MB ChB FRCGP Qualified in Liverpool in 1980. He joined the Wirral training scheme for General Practice in 1981, completing posts in psychiatry, chest medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and A&E.
He joined Middlewich Road Surgery in 1985 and developed interests in psychiatry and minor surgery. In 1992 he became the Practice’s Trainer for new Registrars. From 1997 he has played a leading role in bringing the 2 Sandbach Practices together and then lead on design, building and implementation of Ashfields Primary Care Centre. (The first of it’s kind in the North West of England and still one of the best). In 2006 he was made a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners in recognition of this work. He is still happy being a GP and keen to keep Ashfields as one the Leading Practices in The North West.
