Non-urgent advice: Out of Hours & Emergency Services
111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free and can help direct you to the most appropriate service. When we are shut ring 111 for all non Emergency queries.
Call 111 and speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.
NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.
In case of a life threatening EMERGENCY , please dial 999
Routine appointments can be made up to 2 weeks in advance.
To make an appointment telephone 01270 275050 and book with the help of a receptionist.
Our reception staff will ask you brief details of your problem. This will help us direct you to the most appropriate clinician or service. You can also make appointments through the NHS app on your smart device or you can access it online below.
For continuity of care we ask that you make your appointment with your usual doctor or nurse. We understand this might not always be possible.
Please arrive in plenty of time for your appointment.
Make sure you let us know when you have arrived. You can use either the touch screens provided or by speaking to one of our receptionists.
Please note we do not offer a walk-In service and we do not assess acute minor injuries.
For any form of dental care please contact a dentist. We do not see or treat any form of dental or gum problem.
The practice offers a limited number of appointments each day for urgent problems. These appointments are offered within 48 hours if appropriate.
Our staff will direct you to the most appropriate person or service for your problem. This may not be an appointment with a GP.
We have a range of other health care professionals working in the surgery who may be better placed to help you. These are:
- MSK First contact practitioners
- Advanced nurse practitioners
- Prescribing pharmacists
We also have a range of local outside services. Such as, the “red eye service” and the “local community minor ailments service”.
Please note we are not commissioned to provide a minor injuries service. The VIN in Northwich or A&E at Leighton hospital provides this in the local area.
Face2Face, Telephone or Video Appointments
We are able to offer appointments either face2face, on the telephone or if appropriate on a video link.
The majority choose face2face and for urgent problems we tend to prefer you come down so we can examine you.
However for some problems particularly follow ups or reviews, telephone calls can be a better choice and you can ask for these when booking.
